February 2012 Catalooche Ski Trip Trip Information

TRIP OVERVIEW:

Ski Trip to Catalooche in Maggie Valley, NC

Weekend to enjoy skiing in North Carolina.  The Troop will depart Saturday morning for Maggie Valley, NC.  The scouts will need to take a sack lunch for the drive up.  Once the Troop arrives in NC, we will meet our tour guide who will assist us in getting our ski equipment and lift tickets.  We will then check into the Creekside Lodge.  We will go out to dinner on Saturday night.

Sunday morning will start with a continental breakfast at the hotel and then it’s off to the slopes.  We will spend the entire day on the slopes with a brief stop for Troop provided sandwiches and snacks during lunch.  We will be providing a variety of sandwich meats, PB&J, and chips for the boys.  They will need to purchase drinks at the snack bar.  Saturday evening the Troop will go out to dinner again and then head back to the hotel for the evening.  The hotel has a heated indoor pool so the boys may want to bring a swim suit to enjoy this amenity.  Monday morning will again start with a free continental breakfast and then off to the slopes we go again.  We will depart the skip slopes around noon and head back to Dunwoody with a quick stop for lunch on the way.
