SEPTEMBER 11-12, 2010

Mountain Biking Trip: "The Troop will be going on a Mountain Biking/Camping overnight to the Chilhowee Recreation Area near Benton, Tennessee which will be lots of fun. We'll ride different trails, depending on skill & interest levels, including an exciting 7-mile downhill run. We'll trailer bikes from the bottom of the trail back to the top so the trail can be ridden more than once. Instruction will be provided on how to improve mountain biking skills to help ensure everyone has a great time."

Campmaster Shaw will conduct a mountain biking tips & safety 'clinic' at the Troop meeting on Tues 9/7.

OCTOBER 16-17, 2010

The Troop will be going on a backpacking trip that should be quite enjoyable for all experience levels of backpackers. We will be backpacking a 13.6 mile point to point section of the Appalachian Trail in North Georgia, from Hog Pen Gap to Unicoi Gap. One of the highlights of this section of the trail are the ridge views, and the headwaters of the Chattahoochee river.
