Coming up at Kingswood for Kids & Adults!
Kingswood Night Out with the Hawks: Buy your tickets now to see the Atlanta Hawks play the New Jersey Nets on March 23, 7:30 pm. Unlimited popcorn and soda is included. Fan tunnel for the first 50 participants. Tickets are $28 each and must be purchased by February 22.
Yoga for Kids & Youth: Register now for Yoga for Kids & Youth on Thursdays, February 2 - March 22. Ages 4-6 meet 1:15 - 2:00 pm, ages 6-9 meet 4:30 - 5:30 pm, and ages 10+ meet 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Registration fee is $94 for this eight-week session. Registration deadline is January 24.
Indoor Tennis: Join us this fall as professional tennis instructors from Pure Tennis teach children ages 4 to 12 all about the basics of tennis. Weekly lessons for ages 6-9 are on Tuesdays, January 31 - March 13, 4:30 - 5:30 pm. Weekly lessons for ages 4-6 and 10-12 are on Thursdays, February 2 - March 15. Ages 4-6 meet 1:15 - 2:00 pm, and ages 10-12 meet 4:30 - 5:30 pm. Class size is limited so sign up early! Registration fee is $110. Registration deadline is January 24.
Kids Fit Fest: Elizabeth Ramey is bringing recess to Kingswood! This program will engage children in backyard games and activities that will provide tons of fun and lots of exercise. We’re offering classes Mondays, or Wednesdays, or Both. January 30 – March 21, 1:15 - 2:00 pm, for ages 3-6 (must be 3 by March 1, 2011). No class on February 20 or 22. Registration fee is $99 for Monday or Wednesday class and $160 for both days. Registration deadline is January 24. Dance: Join us this school year as dance instructors from Creative Movement & Dance teach your child the art of dance! Classes are January 30 - May 14 and include Pre-Ballet and Tap & Ballet Combo classes. Pre-Ballet classes (ages 3) are Mondays, 1:15 - 2:00 pm. Tap & Ballet Combo classes are Tuesdays, 1:15 - 2:00 pm. A recital will be held in May. Pre-Ballet classes are $230 and Tap & Ballet Combo classes are $245. Payment can be made in monthly installments. Class size is limited so hurry! See online registration form for more details. Registration deadline is January 24. Karate: Instructors from Kai Ku Do will join us at Kingswood to teach your four-six year olds the art of karate. Classes will focus on discipline, concentration, honesty, respect, fairness and compassion through modeling and class conduct. Classes are Tuesdays or Thursdays, 1:15 - 2:00 pm. Cost is $80 per month and includes a Karate uniform for new students. There are no contracts; simply register for the monthly sessions below as long as your child is interested. Creative Kids Arts & Crafts: Let your child’s creativity soar in this Arts & Crafts program designed for children ages 3 to 6. Introduce your child to the wonders of color and texture through the skilled talents of artist and interior decorator Dawne Cueller. They’ll experience new crafts each week. Enroll now for this eight-week session. Classes are 1:15 - 2:00 pm on Tuesdays or Wednesdays in room 134 (choir room) beginning the week of January 31. Classes are limited to 12 children, so register early. Registration fee is $140. Registration deadline is January 24. Creative Kids Art Classes for Older Kids: Give your older child’s imagination the chance to shine in this Arts & Crafts program designed for children ages 6 to 12. the box provides new and out-of-the-ordinary ways to tell the
Good News. Music, drama, movement and multi-media experiences
allow middle and high-school students to be the creators. There
are many ways to tell the story and exploring the possibilities is part
of the fun. This group meets 6:30 - 7:20 pm on Wednesdays in room
226. There is no charge for this
activity. Singles Volleyball: Join us each Monday evening, 7:30 - 9:30 pm, for FREE singles volleyball games. No reservation is required; just show up and compete. Please see above for game schedule.
