Venture Crew and Sea Scout Ship 477

A Sea Scout Ship and a Venture Crew are elements of the Boy Scouts of America and consist of a group of high school age male and female scouts (between the ages of 14 and 21) that participate in high adventure water and land activities.
 
Sea Scout Ship/Venture Crew 477 provides opportunities for young adults like you to have a great time and adventure with the activities that are planned and operated by youth members.
 
We are located at Kingswood United Methodist Church on the corner of Tilly Mill Rd. and North Peachtree Rd.

The Atlanta Sea Scout Squadron was honored to host one of the three qualifying regattas in the southern region for the 2008 William I Koch International Sea Scout Cup.

On a beautiful day on Lake Lanier, the following are the winners:
First Place: Tom Hinton (Ship 477) & Chip Lovejoy (Ship 300) of Atlanta Area Council
Second Place: Kenny Munn (Ship 477) & Rhiannon Price (Ship 22) of Atlanta Area Council
Third Place: Ted Meinersmann (Ship 12) & CJ Kimble (Ship 12) of NE Georgia Council

The winning team has a berth at the 2008 William I Koch International Sea Scout Cup to be held at the US Naval Academy next summer.
Thanks to all volunteers for their time and support. A hearty thank you goes to Vice Commodore Eric Kiesel who flew in from Washington State to see his protégés shine.
