
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – JUNE 2ND
THROUGH 6TH
April 23rd is the deadline for getting your Vacation Bible
reservation in. Bring your children, ages 4 (by August 31, 2008)
through rising 5th graders and if you volunteer to help, you, too

Sports & Fitness
Register now for YogaKids summer camp for boys and girls ages 7-10.
The camp will be held in the Community Life Center July 28 - August
1 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. See the Church website (www.kingswoodumc.org/sportsfitness)

We’re offering a Sunday afternoon “skills and
drills” basketball time for boys ages 9-12. Coach Earl Donaldson
will lead these basketball sessions starting in April and they will
continue indefinitely on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-3:30. No need
to register. Boys are welcome to just show up whenever they can.
Should be lots of fun!
SUMMER FUN
AT THE KINGSWOOD SCHOOL
The Kingswood School is offering three weeks of summer fun. These
programs are open to age-eligible KUMC members, current students,
and students enrolled for Fall 2008 in The Kingswood School. If you
are interested,

Summer Dates: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
June 24, 25, 26 Nonsense Books
July 8, 9, 10 Hats Off to Books
July 15, 16, 17 Hiss! Buzz! Ribbit! Bow-Wow! Books are the Cat’s
Meow!
Fees: $75.00 per child per session
In case of withdrawal, $50.00 per child per session will be refunded
if notice is given before May 20th, 2008. Checks should be made out
to The Kingswood School.
Ages: 2 years old (by 5-15-08) through rising Kindergarten.
Sports for Sprouts: Extra hour specifically for 4 and 5 year olds
enrolled in The Kingswood School summer program (12:30 – 1:30). This
hour is offered through the Sports and Fitness Program of Kingswood
United Methodist Church. Information on Sports for Sprouts is also
available in the church Welcome Center.
NATURAL CHURCH DEVELOPMENT
Our
“Action Teams” have been formed! They are called the "Red Team" and
the "Blue Team". Each one is made up of about 15 church members who
have volunteered to work together for about the next eight weeks.
These teams have already participated in a training session, and
will soon be meeting to formulate a plan of action for our
congregation and its leadership to implement in the coming months as
we seek to improve the spiritual and functional health of our
church. The plan of action will be designed to make improvements to
our “minimum factor”, Empowering Leadership. Please read all about
