More than 180 families have benefited from the services of IOH since it first opened the doors of its transitional housing facility more than 15 years ago. These families have gone from financially insolvent and homeless, to independent, debt-free lives. Over the last three years, 90% of participating families "graduated," meaning they stayed together as a family, found jobs earning sufficient income to support their move to independent housing, and are keeping their children in school. Each two-parent family that comes to IOH must be committed to changing their lives, staying together as a family and keeping their children in school. By keeping families together and strengthening them, IOH returns a self-sufficient, two-wage earning family to the larger community.
