Kingswood UMC sends missionaries to Honduras
each year through HONDURAS OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL. The goal
is twofold, to present Christ to others through reaching
out while also striving to help those who are in need.
Honduras Outreach International has done an
excellent job of linking those in need with those of us
who are willing to help. "Honduras Outreach is a non-denomination,
Christian organization dedicated to building life-changing
relationships between the people of the Olancho province
of Honduras and caring North Americans. Rancho el Paraiso
is the focal point of the Honduras Outreach ministry and
is located in the department of Olancho in central Honduras.
The Honduran government has identified Olancho as an area
with one of the highest concentrations of infant mortality,
and poverty. The median rural family income is less than
$400 and 68 of 1,000 children will die before reaching age

This years group has just returned
and will be posting pictures and stories of our adventures
soon.

| Anyone over 16 years old and willing
to help may volunteer. Our volunteers are men and women of
all ages and walks of life. They include church and synagogue
members, employees of businesses, civic groups, college students,
retirees, friends and relatives. You don't need to have any
special skills, just a willingness to help. |

are welcome if you would like to help us continue our support
of this mission. Donations are expecially powerful for this
mission in that you can (1) provide the finances for someone
else to go on the next trip if you can't or (2) you can
provide a scholarship for a child in Honduras to go to school.
You'll be amazed at how few dollars can provide a child
with a chance to attend high school. Most of the kids in
the villages can't afford the costs of the schools so few
go past 6th grade. You could literally provide a child with
a future. How awesome is that?
